FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: How long do lash extensions last?

A: Extensions will grow with and naturally fall out with your natural lash, but of course the way you take care of them will also affect how long they last. I recommend coming back for infills every 2-3 weeks.

Q: What do they feel like?
A: You should barely be able to feel them when they are applied properly. I use lightweight extensions that don't put too much weight or stress on your natural lashes.

Q: How long does it take to apply a full set of lash extensions?
A: Approximately 75-90 minutes. I have personally lashed over 2500 clients, so I am quite efficient with my time, whilst maintaining a high level of quality with every single client.

Q: Can I use eye makeup remover?
A: You may use water based remover, however I highly recommend using a proper lash cleanser (sold at Lash Up for $20) to avoid any unwanted chemicals that could break down the bond in your extensions.

Q: Can I wear makeup to my lash appointment?
A: Your lashes must be squeaky clean and have no residue from makeup or oils. Avoid wearing water proof mascara 2-3 days before your appointment. Wearing eye makeup or applying moisturiser within 24 hours of your appointment can have a negative effect to the glue, causing it to not stick to the natural lashes. Make the most of your appointments by thoroughly cleaning your lashes beforehand.

Q: Can I wear mascara after eyelash extensions?
A: Wearing mascara on your extensions will lead to lashes clumping together, eye infections, lash damage and premature extension loss

Q: What maintenance is required?
A: I recommend brushing your extensions in the morning and night, so that your natural lashes can continue to grow in the right direction. Cleanse your lashes every 1-2 days with lash cleanser to avoid eye infections, oil and makeup build up and premature extension loss. I recommend refills every 2-3 weeks.

Q: How long does it take to get refills?
A: Approximately 45-75 minutes depending on the amount of lashes you have lost

Q: When can I not have eyelash extensions applied?
A: If you have any eye irritations or infections, have experienced allergies in the past, or you are currently taking Roaccutane or Vitamin A

Q: How do I take care of my extensions?

  • Keep your lashes dry (no sweat, steam, water, moisture or high humidity) for 24-48 hours

  • Use only water based makeup removers and lash cleansers (Oily/cream based products will cause your extensions to fall out)

  • No mascara or eyeliner

  • No eyelash curlers

  • Avoid rubbing, touching and playing with your eyelash extensions (your fingers have lots of natural oils in them, which can cause the glue to break down)

  • Pat lashes dry after washing your face (never rub)

  • Make sure you pre-book your next eyelash refill every 2 – 4 weeks

  • Remove all eye makeup before your appointment, to ensure you receive the most out of your infill
